Maisy’s story:
Maisy (formerly Rikki) was part of the #eastlandcounty14, a group of dogs found dumped on a highway. We suspect that she was used as a breeder dog in a dog fighting environment. She was abused and neglected prior to being dumped with 13 other dogs before we rescued her.
She was adopted last year, but ended up coming back to us when her owner was not able to provide the proper care, excercise, time, and attention.
Maisy’s update – 09/25/2022:
Rikki has found a new home! Now known as Maisy, she and her new dad George are lovin’ life!
She walks well on a leash, does great off-leash, and has excellent off-leash recall.
Maisy is very affectionate. She loves to snuggle on the couch or go for a long hike on a beautiful day. And with lots of help and love from her new dad, she is finally learning to trust again. George says Maisy is the best snuggler until it’s time to get up and she won’t get off his arm!
We’re so happy to see them loving each other so much!!
